recap final day

The 2017 Strudengau Open powered by Anders Golfen champions are crowned. After 63 holes in total Sweden’s Tomas Rosenqvist took the MPO win defending himself against fast approaching Krystof Novak (CZ) and local young gun Laurenz Schaurhofer, who could not deal as he expected with the pressure of starting into the final round as the tournament leader. With a final score of -21 Rosenqvist takes the winner’s trophy three strokes ahead Krystof Novak. Laurenz Schaurhofer finished in third place, in spite of everything another great result for the sixteen year old Austrian who took sixth place in the Junior Worlds earlier this year.

The FPO division once more was dominated by Natalie Holloköi from Switzerland. Seems she’s invincable on this course as she won every edition of this tournament so far. This fact now grants her a life long VIP membership in the local disc golf club. At the end of day 3 Holloköi won the event 15 strokes ahead ov Eva Kralova (CZ). Like in the men’s division third place went to Austria as the local female top athlete Sonja Palmetshofer ended up on the bottommost step of the podium.

Juho Väisänen saved Suomi’s honour by winning the unique distance accuracy contest on friday evening. In total a prize money of 5.350€ was payed out to the contenders in the tournament and side events.
